This recipe requires an ice cream freezer, but if you've got one you're sure to love this dessert. Come up to the orchard in August and September for fresh peaches!

Peach Ice Cream

Makes 4 quarts

8-9 fresh peaches 1 c sugar 1 c water 1/2 c peach schnapps 2 c heavy cream or whipping cream

1. Puree peaches. Should yield about 5 1/2 cups. 2. In a small or medium pot, mix water and sugar. Bring to a boil. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Take off heat and cool to room temperature. 3. Combine cooled syraup with peaches, schnapps, and cream. 4. Pour into ice cream freezer and follow manufacturer's directions.
